Annual Fundraising Events
Proceeds from these events, along with raffles and other functions throughout
the year, go to fund scholarships or are donated to community organizations that provide support and assistance to women and children.

Held once every 2 years - our next garage sale will be in spring of 2009.

Annual "Gardens & Gazebos" Garden Tour

Our 2008 Garden Tour, held Saturday June 21, 2008, was a rousing success.

You won't want to miss the 2009 Annual Garden Tour. It is a wonderful way to welcome Spring and be inspired by all the beauty these gardeners lend to their landscapes. When you attend this fund raiser, you will be supporting Soroptimist International of Schenectady, a non-profit organization that is "Best for Women" in your own community.

Best for Women Evening

This year's Best for Women Evening will take place on November 18th, 2008 at the Mohawk River Country Club and Chateau in Rexford.

The evening will include delectable foods at various stations around the room and a Chinese Auction featuring items from area merchants and artisans. A presentation by Margie Wood of The Humor Project entitled, "Lightening Life with Laugher – Humor, Health and Happiness!” will follow the award ceremony and dinner. All proceeds from this annual event go toward Soroptimist of Schenectady’s scholarship and awards fund.

Best for Women Award
This award, funded by the Best for Women Event, will have a new focus every two years. This year's award will go to a woman-owned startup business. For more information or to apply, click here.
