The Soroptimist International of Schenectady Beatrice Hocking SCCC Award:
Named after the club’s first president, this annual award is given to a deserving student at Schenectady Community College.

The Soroptimist International of the Americas Women’s Opportunity Award:
This annual award helps women who, as heads of their households, must enter or return to the work force in order to support themselves and their
families. Cash grants are given to women seeking to improve their economic situation through additional education and training.

The Soroptimist International of the Americas Violet Richardson Award:
This award recognizes a young woman whose volunteer activities make the community and the world a better place. It’s named after the first president of the first Soroptimist club in 1921, whose motto was, “It’s what you do that counts.”
The award is given for activities conducted on a volunteer basis. Projects that benefit women or girls are especially valued.

Soroptimist International of Schenectady Best for Women Award:
This newly created local scholarship, funded by the Best for Women Event, will have a new focus every two years. This year's award will go to a woman-owned startup business. For more information or to apply, click here.
